Youth Link has a long history of working with disadvantage, homeless and at risk young people in Cairns. Their services incorporate early intervention, harm minimisation, and empowerment through a variety of strategies for individuals and groups of young people.
Programs
Young Parent and Youth Wellbeing Program:
- Young parent support: providing support for young people with children or expecting a child – 12-21 years
- Information, advice and referral for young people who are homeless or at risk
Housing services: Mobile outreach and supported accommodation programs
- Assistance with bond loans, finding accommodation and addressing barriers that may be preventing young people from accessing accommodation
- Supported accommodation for young people 12 – 24 years
Blood Borne Virus Prevention and Testing Program (NSP)
Intake, assessment and referral
Open referral, anyone can make an appointment. Initial assessment will be conducted in person or via phone.
