The Mackay Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AODS) provides a specialist service. Individuals directly or indirectly affected by their own or another ‘s alcohol and/or drug use can access a comprehensive alcohol and drug assessment and a range of specialist interventions.
Programs
Treated Conditions:
• Substance use disorder
• Co-occurring alcohol and drug and mental health disorders.
Treatment type:
- Harm reduction (e.g. needle and syringe programs – contact for service hours)
Intake, assessment and referral
Self-referrals and referrals from a doctor or other agency are accepted.
Patients will need to make an appointment and this can be done by phoning or by attending the AOD unit.
