About Lives Lived Well

Lives Lived Well provides support for people in Queensland communities who are being impacted by alcohol or drugs or problems with mental health. They take a holistic, compassionate and harm minimisation approach to help people live their lives well.

Shanty Creek is an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander service for people aged 18 years and over, in far North Queensland. Shanty Creek offers residential alcohol and other drug rehabilitation with short, mid and long-term stay options. The program provides support through individual and group therapy from a team of professionals including counsellors, psychologists, and social workers.

Programs

Services provided include case management, counselling, relapse prevention, life skills development, literacy and numeracy skills, health and well-being education, cultural activities, mindfulness, arts and craft and peer support. Assessments are completed at the Cairns office at 139 Sheridan St.
