Logan Adolescent Drug Dependencies Early Response Service (LADDERS)

About LADDERS

This is a free service for young people aged 12-25 and their families/significant others who are experiencing problematic alcohol and other drug use. LADDERS aims to reduce the harms from alcohol and other drug use by offering a range of services in a friendly and non-judgemental space.

They are primarily funded to provide support for young people living in Logan but will see anyone needing support and living on Brisbane Southside, including the Bayside.

Programs

If you need help with an alcohol or other drug use issue, Addiction Services can help.

We are a free service for anybody affected by alcohol or other drugs, including carers, friends and family. You do not need a referral. What you tell us is confidential.

We have Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers, youth support team and peer support workers available in some locations.

We can support you to manage, reduce or stop your alcohol or other drug use.

We offer:
• support and advice
• counselling sessions
• group programs
• help to withdraw from drugs relapse prevention
• strategies to stay safer if you are drinking alcohol or using other drugs
• the Opiate Treatment Program

When you contact the service, we will ask some questions and chat about your concerns to come up with a plan together.

Intake, assessment and referral

Self-referrals are welcome along with referrals from family, friends and other health professionals. Referral letter to be emailed to the intake email.
