Programs
Information and education – Individual and group-based harm minimisation information and education sessions to women who:
- are pregnant or considering pregnancy
- are receiving services at other agencies
- are returning to the community following incarceration, or just need some information to help them make decisions about substance use.
Mental Health & Family Wellbeing Services – face-to-face services counselling in Greater Brisbane regions and the Gold Coast. There is also online counselling support to other areas of Queensland, including rural and remote communities, through the Online Counselling Service.
AOD Counselling Services: Recovery Pathways
We offer continuity of service for clients who have completed a PCD session with us, or for people who are over 18 years old, experiencing moderate-to-severe alcohol and other drug (AOD) challenges. This service is designed to work with the client, to develop a plan around goals they want to work towards to reduce the impact of substance use on their life, health, and wellbeing.
The Recovery Pathways service offers up to 12 one-hour counselling sessions with an experienced AOD counsellor in one of our offices, over the phone and via video conferencing.
Intake, assessment and referral
Mental Health & Family Wellbeing Services – Self referrals are welcome along with referrals from friends, family and other health professionals after consultation with the clients. Please contact Anglicare SQ Intake on 1300 114 397
Clients are now also eligible for 6 counselling session on completion of their diversion. Referrals by other police, court and the criminal justice system can also be accepted. These sessions can be delivered face to face or over the phone.
