Is your organisation working to celebrate diversity and increase inclusivity?

The HOW2 Create Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) Inclusive Services program provides health and human services with practical ways to work towards these goals using an accreditation framework.

The How2 program provides intensive LGBTI inclusivity support to coach two key staff from each service as change champions within their organisation. The program runs over 4 comprehensive full day sessions. Participants learn a range of useful skills, strategies, resources and gain insights into how to create an inclusive organisation for LGBTI communities – including volunteers, clients, staff and leadership.

Content covers the 6 standards that form the foundation of the Rainbow Tick:

• Organisational capability
• Workforce Development
• Consumer Participation
• A welcoming and accessible organisation
• Disclosure and documentation
• Culturally safe and acceptable service

Completion of the HOW2 program can assist organisations to develop a practical plan to achieve Rainbow Tick accreditation. Participants should generally have management responsibility for areas including diversity, engagement, quality, accreditation, service design, evaluation, etc.
