9th SNAICC National Conference

This conference aims to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, strengths and successes in child and family services across Australia. Delegates will have the opportunity to showcase culturally appropriate best practices that contribute to positive changes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people so they thrive in their culture.

Delegates will have the opportunity to share stories and ideas about what works and how to address challenges under the following themes:

  • COVID-19 impacts on our communities
  • Child safety and wellbeing
  • Early years
  • Rights of children and young people
  • Genuine partnerships.

Key dates:

  • abstract submissions opens – Friday 4 December 2020
  • abstract submission deadline – Friday 19 February 2021
  • registration opens – Friday 19 February 2021
  • early bird registration closes – Friday 2 July 2021.

This conference provides the opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, policy makers, researchers, practitioners, government representatives, other non-government organisations and industry representatives to gather and share their work, learn from one another and make renewed commitments to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
