About Sunrise Way

Sunrise Way provides a residential rehabilitation program for people experiencing problematic substance use. With two facilities, located in Toowoomba and Upper Lockyer, providing up to 60 beds, our program caters for anyone over the age of 18 and wishing to abstain from all substance use.

Sunrise Way delivers an evidence-based service within a therapeutic community as part of a residential rehabilitation and also a transition program once graduated from the residential program.

Programs

The residential program runs for approximately 6 months with the transition program available for up to a further 6 months. Throughout the residential program, clients will gain an understanding of their addiction, build self-awareness and begin to develop coping strategies and tools to aid them in their recovery. Further along in the program, greater responsibility is granted, and residents are expected to role model healthy behaviours, prepare for transition back into the community and support other residents who are in the earlier stages of their recovery.

The transition program provides ongoing case management, stable housing, opportunity for purposeful activity (work, training, volunteering etc.) and an ongoing clean and sober lifestyle.

Located at 9 Tourist Rd, East Toowoomba and 68 Thomas Rd, Upper Lockyer
