Programs
Mount Isa Recovery Services operates as a 25-bed residential rehabilitation facility for men and women over the age of 18 seeking recovery from problematic use of alcohol and other drugs. The centre caters for singles, couples, and their children when necessary. The core program content is based around contemporary frameworks and aligns with and supports our National AOD Model of Care. It contains elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as other evidence-based material, focusing on best practice of care by working within a harm reduction framework with the purpose of preventing and reducing AOD-related harm. It is designed, as per our model, to support people finding community, meaning and independence.
