About the Currumbin Clinic

Currumbin Clinic is a 104 bed private mental health facility managed by a team of Psychiatrists, Medical, Nursing and Allied Health staff as well as an active Consumer and Carer network. The service provides inpatient and outpatient treatment and includes access to both individual and group therapy. Aside from a specialist anxiety program the clinic also offers an addictions and dual diagnosis program and Veterans & Emergency Services program.

Programs

Inpatient treatment: three week addiction and dual diagnosis program which includes relapse prevention and lifestyle management strategies. This group-based program provides patients with the skills, techniques and strategies needed to understand and manage substance use disorders. Depending on the level of use and the individual patient, different or additional treatment approaches are considered.

Addictive disorders therapy: an 8-week day program for those in early or sustained recovery from substance use disorders based on a peer supported and psychodynamic approach. This abstinence-based program also eclectically recognises the role of medication-assisted treatment.

Currumbin clinic also offers a range of other programs (including an acute community services and rTMS) focusing on a variety of mental health issues, please go to their website for more information if interested.
