About Caboolture Community Health Centre – Alcohol and Drug Service (AODS)

Alcohol and Other Drugs Services (AODS) develop and provide innovative solutions to address problematic drug use. AODS works closely with Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) referring clients for continuing support. AODS provide a range of services including assessment, referral, counselling, information, case management, dual diagnosis and group programs.

    Programs

    • Low risk Outpatient detox – Outpatient detox is available for people (18 years +) seeking treatment for alcohol, cannabis, amphetamines, benzodiazepines and other substances of dependence.
    • Counselling – Experienced and multi-disciplinary teams of psychologists, social workers and other clinical nurses will provide counselling therapies and support to people (12 years +) with alcohol and other drug concerns, their families and friends.
    • Needle and Syringes Programs (NSP) – This program will provide sterile injecting equipment includes needles and syringes, swabs and ‘sharps bins’ for the safe disposal of used needles and syringes.
