About AIR Detox

In-home Recovery (AIR) provides withdrawal services for alcohol and cannabis where patients can stay at home to receive treatment.

This service is available to people who live or can stay on the Gold Coast during the 7-day detox phase of the program. We accept adults and teenagers aged 15+ (with parental/guardian approval if under 18).

Programs

Our withdrawal programs follow the same three-step process to ensure safety, comfort and ongoing success.

Comprehensive Assessment and Planning Consultation
Our doctor comes to your house to conduct a full clinical assessment to ensure your safety for a home detox. We also meet your support person to explain the detox process and their role within your care.

7-day Home Detox
Our doctor makes daily home visits for at least the first four days of your detox to manage your symptoms and provide your daily medications. We also provide 24/7 medical support during this phase of treatment. If withdrawing from cannabis, this phase may take between 7-14 days.

Aftercare Plan and 12 Month Support
We provide you with a personalised aftercare plan so you can take control of your recovery. We link you in with your GP, allied health professionals, rehabilitation services and resources so you have the right support network around you. We also check-in with you regularly over the next 12 months to provide ongoing support.

We also welcome referrals from healthcare professionals (Medical Objects 480356GY).

Additional information

Patients must have a support person who can stay with them during the 7-day detox phase of treatment. This can be one person or multiple people over the course of the week.
