ATSICHS Brisbane is one of the largest Indigenous community organisations in Queensland and proudly remain community controlled and managed. They provide primary health care through the provision of GP Services, dental, child, family & maternal health, diabetes treatment and education, ophthalmology, optometry, podiatry and dietary. They also have an aged care facility, family and child safety services, social and emotional wellbeing and a youth service.
Programs
Their Child and Family Centre provides a community space with a range of services, working with our families to support you and your kids:
- Early childhood education and care services: playgroups supporting a range of developmental stages and ages, supporting local schools, early childhood education and development programs including social and emotional wellbeing, and supporting our local Deadly Kindys including Burragah, Gundoo Mirra and Waterford West.
- Family and parenting support services: parenting resources and programs, home visiting, counselling, nutrition programs, healthy and safe home environments, individual support for children and families.
- General advice and information on a range of early childhood and family issues.
- Linkages and referral pathways with other community and government services.
Intake, assessment and referral
Social Health: Needs a GP referral
Family Wellbeing Service: Open referral, anyone can call up and ask for a referral form. The clinic is the first point of contact for individuals who have concerning health matters. Further assessment and referrals to other health care services can be made upon visit to the clinic.
