Child and Adolescent Mental Health Conference

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Conference is designed to provide practical skills, relevant information, personal insight, and strategies for professionals committed to the mental health and wellbeing of young people.

The conference theme is Listen, learn and co-design: Establishing partnerships with children, young people and families. This theme focuses on incorporating all stakeholders in the delivery of prevention, early intervention, treatment, and the recovery journey.

Conference keynote speakers include:

  • Justin Mohamed, Commissioner, Vic Commission for Aboriginal Children and Young People
  • Natalie Lewis, Commissioner, Queensland Family and Child Commission
  • April Lawrie, Commissioner, SA Commission for Aboriginal Child and Young People
  • Bernie Shakeshaft, Founder, BackTrack
  • Associate Professor, Michelle Banfield, College of Health and Medicine, Australian National University.

This conference will include in-person and virtual presentations, workshops and poster presentations.

Important dates:

  • Presentation applications close: Friday 1 October 2021
  • Successful presenters notified: Thursday 21 October 2021
  • Presenter acceptances due: Thursday 4 November 2021
  • Program available: Tuesday 9 November 2021
  • Early bird registrations close: Friday 11 February 2022.
