About Queensland Council for LGBTI Health

The Queensland Council for LGBTI Health (QC) has been a home for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Sistergirl and Brotherboy people and communities in Queensland for over 35 years. We are proud to be a community led and community owned health and wellbeing service, representing the diversity of our communities. Walking with you to find the support you need. Changing to meet our diverse community’s needs. Led by you. Owned by you. With you.

Programs

QCGP+ Clinical Services: QC offers a range of programs to improve the health and wellbeing of LGBTI Queenslanders. In particular, their alcohol and other drug related programs and services include:

Drug and sex

  • How Hard: aims to provide relevant information for gay men and men who have sex with men about sexual health, sexual practices and drug use – and how sex when partying can be done safely.
  • Down and Dirty: provides information about sex and partying. The website gives gay men and men who have sex with men the opportunity to interact and ask questions in regards to sexual practices and drug use.

Alcohol & Other Drugs Program: aims to reduce the harms associated with drug and alcohol use within the LGBTI community through research, training, workshops and campaigns. They are currently working hard to try and secure funding to provide LGBTI specific drug and alcohol services for QLD LGBTI communities

Many more information and resources available on their website.
