Kambu Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Health is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that operates in Ipswich and the West Moreton region. Their focus is on providing culturally appropriate health strategies particularly those which focus on prevention. Kambu Health provide services for all stages of life for both individuals and families.
Programs
Social Health: A counselling and advocacy service, which includes Drug and Alcohol counselling, social and emotional well-being counselling, prison visits and services, school health checks and mentoring, men’s and women’s groups and mental health advocacy.
Other services include:
- Children and Family Centre: Alcohol and/or drug misuse, and Domestic and Family Violence Support are programs included in the type of support provided to families.

Intake, assessment and referral
Anyone is open to make an appointment. Initial referral and intake are completed over the phone or patients can complete and submit a Patient Registration Form. The clinic is the first point of contact for clients when they come to the service for assessment and referral to other relevant services if required.
