April 18, 2023

Open Doors Youth Service (ODYS) is a specialist youth service supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer, asexual, pansexual, sistergirl and brotherboy (LGBTIQAP+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy) young people across south-east Queensland. Alongside young people and specialists across education and health, Open Doors Youth Service has developed a collection of fee-for-service professional development opportunities.

ODYS professional development, training and workshops cover an array of topics and are designed for a diverse range of audiences. Informed by the latest research, ODYS sessions provide in-depth information about LGBTIQAP+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy experiences, real-life stories, tools and resources to enhance people’s confidence, knowledge and skills when supporting LGBTIQAP+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy young people and their families.

ODYS professional development, training and workshops bring together people invested in creating change and cultivating affirming practices, environments and communities for all children, young people and families including those who may be LGBTIQAP+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy.
